Initiatives of Change Australia is hosting ‘Steps to the Referendum’ an online event, which encapsulates their learning and sharing around the Uluru Statement from the Heart to date in the lead up to this year's Referendum for a Voice to Parliament. 
 
This event follows a forum that took place at Armagh with Thomas Mayo, Emily Holm, Uncle Glenn Loughrey and Uncle Shane Charles on 10 January.  Since the forum six IofCA members have completed both Walking Together and Train the Trainer trainings run by Inner West Sydney Council. Some of the tools shared at these previous learnings will be referred to on this evening. 
 
Hosted by Uncle Shane Charles, Margaret Hepworth, Mike Brown and Kathryn Farrell, the session will map strategies toward this decisive moment and brainstorm ideas of how your community can raise awareness around Australia’s greatest invitation from First Nations Peoples, the Uluru Statement from the Heart.  

We encourage all interested individuals and organisations to join the event, no matter if you are well versed in this topic, or if you are seeking further understanding.
