Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Jim flew Sunderland Flying Boats in World War 2 and then spent the rest of his life working for peace through the international network called Moral Re-Armament - now called Initiatives of Change. His memoir - Met Along the Way - is full of fascinating encounters with people who inspired him, as well as some he may have inspired - including several Prime Ministers and leading sports stars.
