Film Screening and Panel Discussion: Beyond Forgiving

Saturday, October 6, 2018 - 19:00

'Beyond Forgiving' is a documentary film that depicts the journey of two South Africans to bring healing and reconciliation to their countries, post-apartheid. Ginn Fourie and Letlapa Mphalele form an unlikely pair: one has suffered directly from the actions of the other, but both have been victims - and have risen beyond their pain. What brings them together is a profound story of tragedy, forgiveness and hope.

The screening will be followed by Q&A with Ginn Fourie and discussion with a culturally diverse panel on the relevance of this message to Australia currently.

Panel theme: The truth will set us all free. Are we listening?

Venue: The Multi-Faith Centre (N35) for Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue (ICD), Griffith University Nathan campus, 170 Kessels Road, Nathan, QLD 4111.

Entry is free. Gold coin donations and any contributions to ICD are welcome.

RSVP: Friday, 28 September 2018 by email to icd@griffith.edu.au or to Barbara Lawler
