Be the Peace you want to see in the world

“We all pretend that someone else is the stumbling block … could that someone be myself?”

- Anna Abdallah Msekwa *

Peace is not a static state – we need to keep working at it each generation. How do we create peace in our family, in our communities…in the world?

Join a Creators of Peace Circle to explore what it takes to create peace…starting with yourself.

Come together with women of different cultural backgrounds who want to create a more peaceful and harmonious society. Share and learn of each other’s personal stories, values and beliefs. Break down barriers and broaden your understanding of others. Form friendships across racial, religious and social divides.

Discover your power to be the Peace you seek in the world. Become a peace builder, and put peace into practice.

What happens in a Peace Circle

Peace Circles are facilitated in the style of a ‘talking circle’, where all voices are heard respectfully to allow individuals to hear and explore diverse perspectives.

Participants are invited to share their personal story during the Peace Circle. At the end of each sharing, the story is acknowledged and ‘held’. (Please note that Peace circles are not about providing individual advice or counselling.)

Participants will benefit more from a Peace Circle if they are comfortable reading, writing and speaking in English.

Please note that due to the connected nature of Peace Circles you will need to commit to attending all sessions of the circle.

Facilitators

Tanya Fox, Zohra Aly and Prasanthi Hagare are the facilitators for this Peace Circle and bring a wealth of experience and compassion to this unique experience.
