Creating Space

Monday, February 5, 2024 - 19:30 to Monday, December 2, 2024 - 21:00

Meets the first Monday of every month on Zoom.

Creating Space is where our community gathers to connect, share some time in stillness and renew our sense of purpose in the world.

We create a space for quiet reflection, deep listening and open sharing.

A reflection by a special guest speaker for each month.

For the next few months we are reflecting on Forgiveness and Healing, so sorely needed in the world at this time.

In April we are joined by Amiel Nubaha from the Rwandan Community. Amiel was raised in a refugee camp and migrated to Australia as a young teen in 2009. Despite his challenging childhood Amiel completed degrees in Law, and in Criminology and Criminal Justice.  He is an experienced and nationally accredited mediator with a proven track record in conflict resolution, prevention, and restorative justice. He is a dedicated multicultural advocate with cross-cultural expertise and a deep understanding of complex justice systems.

Creating Space is pleased to welcome Amiel to share his reflection in April, as later in this month he is organising a commemoration on the 30 anniversary of the Rwandan genocide at the Australian Parliament Canberra, to help his community cultivate a spirit of forgiveness, healing and reconciliation.
