Regional Trust Building

Building bridges of trust with our neighbours

IofC Australia partners with IofC centres in the Asia-Pacific region and elsewhere on joint initiatives aimed at building bridges of trust among various communities. We host visits and exchanges, as well as supporting Australians to take part in IofC regional initiatives.

Some of our recent initiatives have included:

  • participation in a peacebuilding visit to New Zealand by a Christian-Muslim duo from Nigeria in the aftermath of the Christchurch massacre;
  • support for Australian youth to participate in the annual IofC Asia-Pacific Youth Conference; and
  • hosting of three young professionals from IofC networks in Indonesia, India, and Zimbabwe to work with us on Australian community projects.
