Film director Gillian Leahy intended for this 1998 film to explore the notion of 'the wild and the tame' in her Sydney suburb of Leichhardt - until, in the course of filming, the community split apart over the use of a community shed. The film takes an unexpected turn to depict the difficulties of grassroots democracy in an urban neighbourhood.
