Bridging Differences Across Borders

Wednesday, May 15, 2019 - 19:30

The South East Asian region has been the scene of many years of conflict and trauma. The need for healing and hope in relationships between the countries of the area is great and has given
rise to some inspiring grass-roots reconciliation initiatives. One of these, The Cambodia Vietnam Exchange Program, has brought together a group of young people from Cambodia and Vietnam with a determination to take action that will create trust. The Cambodia Vietnam Exchange Program will be in Melbourne from 11-18 May and have organised this presentation.

Venue: Armagh, 226 Kooyong Road, Toorak.

Time: 7.30pm for 8pm start

Kim Vuth, the main speaker of the evening, resides in Phnom Penh with his wife and four children and runs a travel agency. After completing a 9 month leadership training at the IofC centre in India, Vuth returned to Cambodia and completed a masters degree in peacebuilding. He was instrumental in setting up Initiatives of Change as a registered NGO in Cambodia.

The evening will also include a power-point presentation and some cultural music and dance. Following the program there will be a chance for open discussion followed by more informal conversation over light refreshments.

Don't miss out on this special night - we hope to see you there!
