Saturday 19 August: ‘Freedom Stories’ shorts. This series of short films explores the achievements and stories of former ‘boat people’ who arrived seeking asylum from the Middle East around 2001. Some of you would have come to the ‘Freedom Stories’ screening last year and heard from director Steve Thomas. These now are six new stories about other asylum seekers who have built new lives in Australia.

All Melbourne screenings are at 7 pm. Pizza will be on offer from 6.30 pm. We ask for $10/head to cover costs. If you are able to donate more than $10, this will help raise funds for the Sustainable Impact Mentoring, Creators of Peace, and Life Matters.
